About Magnaquest

The Company

Magnaquest Solutions Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, is an MSC status company focusing on ICT security and Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) solutions, involving and effecting large number of people and very high volume of transactions involving MyKad. Since 2001, Magnaquest has been involved in building solutions, executing projects for Malaysian customers, and most importantly, involved in educating and generating awareness in the Malaysian market on potential applications and usage of MyKad.

Engaged with the Malaysian market for almost a decade, Magnaquest has built its image as a focused company, leveraging MyKad as an authentication vehicle in IAM and EBT solutions.

Magnaquest has built its image as a focused company, leveraging MyKad as an authentication vehicle for logical access into ICT networks. To their credit, some of the milestones achieved are:
  • Bank-wide Over the Counter (OTC) authentication solution deployment, leveraging the Malaysian National ID card for the largest Malaysian bank – Malayan Banking Berhad.
  • Consulting assignment of significant national importance and bearing that entailed a detailed review of the security / vulnerabilities around the Malaysian National ID card (MyKad).
  • Workshop for defining the roadmap to enhance usage of MyKad in Malaysia.
  • Proof-of-concept (POC) deployment of a unified security framework leveraging technologies viz. smartcards, biometrics, PKI for multiple agencies.
  • Certified for CC EAL 4 certification for our MQAssureTM Platform.

  • MSC APITCA 2009, Merit-Award winner under “Best of the Security” category.
